Live, laugh, and love is what Miss Black American Preteen Jinnie Elise Tomes is all about. Her bright smile and even brighter eyes  are a testament to a life lived happy and healthy. She uses her example to give confidence to others that they too can be happy and healthy by simply finding a positive activity to enjoy.

Jinnie will start a wave of positivity as Miss Black American Preteen; creating a positive impact on her friends, peers, and community.  Jinnie wants everyone to take an active part in their overall well being by eating right and eliminating stressors from their lives to truly live happy. “Living Happy, and Healthy can have a positive impact on our community,” said Jinnie. Part of Jinnie’s routine to stay healthy is jump roping. She supports the Jump Rope for Heart campaign with the American Heart Association. She is also an advocate for the American Diabetes Association and The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Jinnie sings, acts, and plays the violin and cheers. In fact, she is one of the top flyers on the National Cheer Team at Indiana Elite All Star Cheer as well as her school cheer team.  The honor roll student maintains a 3.6 GPA while balancing her community and royal duties.

One probably couldn’t tell by her petite frame but Jinnie does not scare easily. She has absolutely no fear when it comes to roller coaster. She loves water and hot chocolate and, if you let her, would eat chicken everyday.

Jinnie has mapped out a plan for her life. The future medical doctor has  aspirations to attend Indiana University Medical School.

Jinnie is an all around hard worker who enjoys trying new things and having fun.
