MBAC National Assistant Director, JC Goode
Granting the tiara dreams of future queens everywhere is the passion of Jo-Carolyn “JC” Goode. The Miss Black America Coed National Assistant Director has been in the business of being fairy godmother for ten years and counting working with the Miss Black America Coed; Miss Black Texas USA and Miss Black Texas Teen USA under the Miss Black USA Pageant System; and the Miss Texas USA and Miss Texas Teen USA Pageant Systems. In addition to these systems, JC has had former queens and contestants to go on to compete and win in the Miss America and America Miss Pageant Systems as well. To say she loves pageantry is an understatement.
JC is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University with a concentration in biology. The Houston native is the Managing Editor of Houston Style Magazine, owner of From the Heart Gifts and Accessories, photographer and events planner. Always involved in her community, JC has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and Variety: The Children's Charity. JC also serves her community as troop leader of the San Jacinto Girl Scouts Troop #2310. She is the current Historian of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated – Alpha Kappa Omega Chapter and sits on the Ivy Educational and Charitable Foundation of Houston, Inc. Board of Directors.
